About me
Hi, I’m MJ.
I’m a somatic sex educator, and I work with people who are recovering from religious trauma, navigating midlife shifts, or feeling stuck in their pleasure journey.
I know what it means to feel out of sync with your body or to wonder if healing is even possible. My work is about helping you discover that yes, it is possible — through compassion, embodied practices, and deep respect for your autonomy.
A Safe Space for You
Welcome to this little corner of the internet where I “hang my shingle.” This is a safe space for weary, hungry travelers searching for ways to transmute pain into healing.
If you’ve suffered under oppressive systems — religion, patriarchy, capitalism — and tried to mold yourself to expectations that left you broken or burned out, you are not alone. I’ve been there too. And I’m here to say: a new way forward is possible.
My Approach
My work is trauma-informed and client-led, as well as kink and non-monogamy-informed. I am a white, AFAB, queer, gender-curious person. Part of my commitment is ensuring that you feel safe in our work together. During intake, we’ll explore whether this space feels right for you — and if not, I’ll happily recommend other practitioners.
Whether you’re:
Seeking to reconnect with your body, reclaim your pleasure, and learn to trust your “yes” and “no”
Longing for touch to regulate your nervous system, experience safety in your body, and heal through presence and sensation
Exploring ways to deepen intimacy and improve communication with a partner
Or simply navigating a life transition — discovering your queer self, moving through perimenopause, or finding your voice after religious or systemic trauma…
I’m here to walk alongside you.
Beyond the Work
In my mid-40s, I’m mothering, writing, and building a life rooted in freedom and exploration. I love working on my bus-home, riding my motorcycle and losing myself in books or engaging in heartfelt conversations about relationships and the way the world works.
I am continually engaging in personal decolonization work—recognizing how racism, exploitation, and other systemic harms show up both around me and within me. I work to notice and challenge my own privilege, while unlearning patterns that no longer serve. This is lifelong work, and I bring that commitment into every space I hold, so that together we can create room for honesty, wholeness, and liberation.
And always, I return to the deep wells of pleasure that sustain me.
If you’ve found yourself here, know this: you don’t have to navigate alone. Healing is possible. You are welcome here.
